My Background

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto and later earned my Master's in Social Work from the same institution. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals struggling with a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use, in both hospital and community settings.

As an immigrant to Canada, I understand firsthand the challenges and struggles that can come with going through change and adaptation. My own personal experiences with bullying, depression, and social anxiety have allowed me to develop compassion and understanding for my clients' problems.

My passion for psychology was sparked by reading the works of existentialist writers such as Dostoevsky, Frankl, Yalom & Chekhov. Existential literature, combined with my undergraduate degree in psychology and extensive training in various treatment modalities, such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and trauma therapy, inform my understanding of mental health and the human mind.

In my free time, I enjoy participating in creative activities such as reading and writing (bad) poetry, drawing, playing the piano, and acting. I love nature and animals.

One of the things I love most about being a therapist is the opportunity to witness individuals grow and flourish. I believe that with the right support and guidance, we are all capable of making positive changes in our lives and overcoming even the most difficult of obstacles.
